Hi All,
Worry not, we are legit.
Here is how it works, as per ICN guidelines [The way COA competitions are run]
1. You buy documents and 'register' giving name, address, etc
2. While submitting, you give 'proof of identity', where the name and address should match. This is the check protocol that the 'registration' they have in records is same as the 'entry' they receive.
3. This 'proof of identity' is something you send in a sealed envelope, super scribed with the 6 digit number
4. The 6 digit number is a random number the entrant generates - the same number the entrant carries in a corner of the panels and the model. this procedure is to maintain connect with the 'registration', 'proof of identity' and the 'submission'
5. The random number, true to spirit, should be 'random'. Therefore, do not put the receipt number. This way, the probability of two entrants giving the same random number is quite scarce. Also, it is best to be imaginative while cooking up the random 6 digit number. For example, do NOT put 666666 :-)
6. The 'registration form' is something Amritha filled up while buying the form for us. I will check the details she filled in.
In a nutshell, we are already registered. We just need to put the same details in the 'proof of identity' form. The extra copy of the registration form was given in the dossier for those who would have first ordered dossier by post, and then sent registration back by post, and then subsequently sent their submission entry by post.
I have been intensively enquiring about this, and this information is authentic and absolute. However, we still should find the original receipt and dossier documents
Hope this clarifies matters.

thanks uttiyo. slight clarification -
ReplyDeletethere was no extra copy of reg form in the dossier. amritha had torn out along the dotted line the one and only reg form in the dossier and submitted it. there was, however, a proof of ID form in the dossier.
I meant the 'soft' copy in the CD.
ReplyDeleteThe proof of ID form is what needs to come in a sealed envelope along with the submission.
The marginal difference in PoID and R is that PoID allows for subsequent collaborators to be added to the list, and gives instructions regarding the 6 digit registration number on envelope as well.
the soft copies in pdf of both forms are in the CD that is part of the dossier.
